Many decades ago when I was a Chrysler Dealership mechanic in 1970, the electronic voltage reg. was on the 1970 cars. I remember grounding a wire on the voltage reg. wiring plug to bypass the reg. This would make the Alternator charge and meant that I had a bad reg. But being 5o years plus...

That would be a lengthy process for me as it usually take an hour to pull the plugs and even longer to put them back. The gap I'm using now is.045. before at .035 it would back fire loud like a shogun going off I'm using RC12YC. the engine is in a 68 Dart and long tube headers.

Does anyone have this engine combination? What spark plugs and plug gap are you using? On my 540 cu.in., 10.5 compression with MSD 7AL-2 ignition box, MSD Pro Power coil and Indy 440 EZ-1 heads.

I been setting my spark plug at .035 but I'm second guessing that it should be more. Engine is a 540 cu.in. 10.5 to 1 compression, Indy 440-EZ-1 Heads, MSD 7AL-2 ignition box, MSD Distributor, and MSD Pro Power coil. I'm using Champion RC12YC plugs recommended by Indy. Does my plug gap need to...
