I've never abandoned a project car and I always give myself one year max to complete them. Nothing pains me more than seeing a Mopar get ripped apart and then sit for 10 or 20 years while parts get lost and damaged.
My last 2 Challengers came to me as incomplete projects, one by the original...
The grille isn't that bad. If I had one I would try blacking it all out though, I have never seen that done. The 2-3-4 cars still bring less money, I don't have a clear figure though.
They rust everywhere, lower quarters first, trunk floor and drop offs second, then the outer wheelhouses...
Nothing says GTF outta the way like a 70 Coronet grille. Personally I think they're pretty cool. Extra points for a Ramcharger hood though, this one needs the hood painted anyway. I agree that the 69 rear treatment is better but there's nothing that would stop me from owning a 70.
I hope someone gets to it before it gets violated more. I generally hate yellow but I like this car. It's going to take some cash to undo the butchery, I don't mind day2 but this one is distasteful. $45k is probably $10k too much. paintwork isn't cheap and there's some missing parts and they...
IMO: Easily removed, drastically increase enjoyment and appearance of car. Go for it. Perhaps added value as long as the original parts stay with the car.
Flying home tomorrow after a couple of months crisscrossing Mexico. Sooner be here than some areas I've been to in Portland, L.A. or Detroit. Like anywhere a little common sense and staying sober so you are aware of your surroundings is a good plan. Biggest deterrent is that prices have become...
Nope: But I hunted down cars that had them with this car. I enjoyed taking the posers down. There were a few cars that needed the scoops and ran good but not too many.
On the top of the steering box there is a valve that is set wrong on your box. There are two bolts that hold the valvebody in place, they must be loosened slightly. Then with the front wheels in the air and the engine idling you tap the valvebody forwards or backwards until the wheels stay...
Yup: Not anywhere near a $500 piece. Not worth the trip. Probably 4.30 or 4.56 by the width of the ring gear. Crappy limited slip that's most likely worn out.
No: I'm in Vernon B.C. I used to order all I could from National Moparts in Ontario but if I need something fast I have it shipped to Wa. state and drive down and get it. Cheaper and faster when I need something fast.
Dang truck is probably faster than the Vette! I've often thought an early Mustang would make a good daily even in the winter. Parts are dirt cheap for them to fix rust damage as it comes up and just beat on it every day without depreciating my truck as well. With the price of trucks I won't be...
I had a set of those once. Mid 70's Mopar over the counter piece as I recall. Are the exhaust ports square or D? I thought mine were D-port but I went through so many junk aluminum heads before getting smart and buying a set of Stage V's I can't remember now.
