Ha, ha: I built a 426 Hemi display engine out of junk parts. When I have Mopar friends over I see if they can pick out the fatal flaw of the display. Yep, SBM distributor, it fits in the hole alright but smart guys pick out the vacuum can immediately.
Funny related story. I bought my son a 74, 260Z as a first car/project. It didn't run so I wired in my NOS Chrysler style MSD box including wiring in the Chrysler style plug into the old Datsun harness. The old Datsun started right up of course, ignition is ignition.
I have one as well. It works great, I'll have to find it and post up a photo. I bought it new in the MSD box NOS. I think it's red as well, it was before the MSD6's I think. It came with a supertrick short piece of wire to jump the ballast resistor. I probably still have the box cw instructions etc.
