    66 Hemi Charger on BaT

I like it. Something that is real, you can drive it, tinker on and improve it. I agree it will probably hit $60k which I think is too much.

    History

A lot of people don't appreciate these cars and the huge deal they were when new. Everybody goes ga-ga about the dukey edition but don't realize that in 66 these cars were breaking new ground. They were no less exciting than the Rivieras and Toronados.

1967 Dodge Charger Restoration - Four Questions

Be super careful with that rear glass. Windshields are easy to find if you break one though.

    67 L code 4 speed project?

I think it's well worth restoring. Putting a price on it though is another thing. It has to be high enough that some of the goodies don't get plucked for a later car. You find autos but not 4 speeds.

Ha, ha: One cool car in the both and one "whatever".

    Painted or Chrome valve covers?

Yes: Those look great. I don't like the later Direct Connection ones with the raised faces.

    Painted or Chrome valve covers?

I like the stock chrome ones such as a Street Wedge or 67 R/T or GTX.

    1966 Charger Rant

Unfortunately 66-67 Chargers are like C-bodies. You have to be really careful what you build. You need to find one complete and in as good of shape as you can or you're in too deep right away. That's the reality of it. They're great cars but limited following. If yours is missing key components...

Saw This Today, Anybody Know Anything About It?
