Elbow grease. :p
Tripoli compound then white rouge on a buffing wheel. The column was apart.
Mythbusters proved you can polish a turd. 12 years in the USMC also proved to me anything can be polished.
I'm a Redneck hack myself and I agree that configuration looks beyond sketchy to me. The suggestions above are spot on. LCAs with the sway bar tabs aren't that hard to find if you look.
Good luck!
My only comment would be why mess with the designer's recommendations? Get the whole package. $400 extra dollars isn't ****.
Plus if guys see them hanging down there they'll know you're packing. To me the split mono leafs seem a little flimsy without the bars to support them.
Haven't run them yet on this car (68 Runner) but my son has run them on his 72 Duster for a year or so now. Pretty much all street driving and he likes them. Set them up for zero pre-load on the street and you will be fine. My son's and the pics below are both the one inch drop low profiles. If...
I haven't run them yet but I put them on my 68 Runner street build. Went with the low profiles. This car will never see the drag strip but it's built for it.
We put them on my son's 72 street Duster and he loves them. Keep them at a neutral adjustment for the street and you'll be fine. Use their...
The columns collapse about 12 inches if not more. If you have ever disassembled one look at how they're designed, that isn't an issue. It will still collapse plenty.
Besides, if you crash it that hard why would you still want to be alive to see your crushed car? Not the most high tech safety...
Hello all. I have a friend that is fabricating adapter plates to use hydro boost for our Mopars. He's actually a Tri Five Chevy guy but has the intelligence to know Mopar guys will buy them too.
He's asking questions that are outside of my knowledge and pay grade.
1. Is there a difference in...
I haven't tested it yet but Baer 13 inch manual discs on all 4 corners. Plumbed the proportioning valve just because. Not sure if I will need it or not.
Since you've done so many combos Kern, do you see an issue with 13" rotors all the way around?
I know that less rotor is needed in the rear. My reasoning for 13s all the way around is simply aesthetic. 17" wheels up front, 18" in the rear.
I think a 12" inch rotor in the rear with a one inch...
I'll be watching this thread. I too went with the drum-drum distribution block because I understood it was just a fancy splitter that I could hook up to the low pressure brake light switch.
Tapped a roll control in between the manual MS and front brakes. Adjustable prop valve further back on the...
That has to be the worst how to video I have ever skipped through.
What a moron. Yes I have done this upgrade, not hard at all.
I think this idiot likes seeing his face on camera more than anything.
Looking forward to the pics. The "kinks" you describe may be perfectly normal without seeing them.
The welds on the K-Frames of these cars always suck. Good penetration typically with little regard for aesthetics.
Function over form.
