The cool thing about these cars is that they were made out of some pretty stout material.

Man I have seen some crusty fender tags in my time but that one looks like it's been there since the pyramids were built.

I would scuff all sides that don't show, get a good epoxy made for plastic, try to spread the cracks as much as possible to get a little epoxy on the mating surfaces and liberally on the surfaces that don't show then clamp it as best you can. Rubber bands, straps, gravity, whatever it takes. If...
You need to also consider the human factor. Who knows what the guys on the line were doing the day your car went through. One guy could have been going through a divorce, the next guy hung over, the guy after that playing a joke. Find the one that matches the VIN and burn the rest.
First mistake, paying up front.... it's the best clue that the guy is shaky at best.
Secondly, get your car the hell out of there as quick as you can. He has done some work on it so it's not like you're out the whole $2,800.
