Thanks fellas I thought that it was normal but my memory still tells me that there was a different shaped pad for back in the day. Maybe what I am thinking of was used on a B van or a D100 truck or maybe just I’m just crazy. Would think that MaMopar would have used the entire piston surface to...
Anyone seen or notice this before???
Part of caliper piston not touching anything?
Have a 69 Bee that was swapped to small front discs with K/H pin style calipers with the large 2.75 piston. Part of the caliper piston doesn’t have any brake pad to touch. Maybe 1/5 of the piston is exposed. It...
Does anyone know of a wider brake pad that fits the pin type calipers with the 2.75 single piston and 11.75 rotor? As in wider i am talking about a wider pad that contacts the entire surface of the 11.75 rotor and doesn’t have a big lip on the end of the rotor. I thought back in the day that...
Hi all just wanted to update the post on trying to get a sway bar to fit a 69 k frame that has QA1 lower control arms with 70 style sway bar tabs
It has taken a few weeks but this is what I came up with not that everyone will agree with it but there’s no option that I know of for this...
Yes I am working on a 69 Bee for a friend who always says he’s going to finish something but never does. So I am trying to get one done for him out of his 30+ projects
I have a 67 GTX ex weekend race car with 21k original miles , paint and 95% original sheet metal. It’s a partially cut up...
Thank you very much DeltaV. Definitely what I needed. So it looks like a difference of about 5 1/2 inches between the two bars. So now my hunt begins to find a bar in the scrap yard.
Thanks to you all for the help much appreciated!!
Thanks mark Levi! That would be great if you could measure it. The 70-72 are different length because not only did they run it through the k frame but they moved the control arm tabs closer to the torsion bar side of the arm. Definitely appreciate it!
Hi. Does anyone know the lengths of the longer 69 sway bar vs the shorter 70 version? I am talking about the distance from the center to center of link holes. Thanks
Unfortunately QA1 does not and they should. The only way to get a sway bar for 66-69 is use their k frame and bar. Just another company that sells “the best thing since sliced bread “ but sorry only partially fits your application and we don’t offer that either. Crazy
Thanks for the replies guys. I have been pondering changing the lca’s back to the originals and that maybe what I end up doing which would be the easiest. But I would like to try and make this work not only for this car but for all the others that I have read that has run into the same problem...
Hi everyone. Looking for some help or ideas on what seems to be a quagmire with QA1 lca’s on 66-69 k frames and sway bars. I am working on a 69 Bee that has original K frame but has QA1 upper and lower arms and the lca’s have sway bar mounts in the newer 70-72 position. The original 69 sway bar...
.
Hi Wolf Tickets. Did you get your sway bar on with this setup? I am dealing with the same problem with QA1 LCA’s on a 69 but the original 69 k member won’t allow a 70 style to slide through. Let me if you have an update. Thanks
