I know Darts had the Charger 225 air cleaner in 66. Out 66 Coronet was at the dealer for warranty work so they gave us a loaded 66 Dart to drive. The label was on it.

It could be argued the 50s 300s were the first muscle cars.
I think the reason the Goat gets credited with being the first is because GM and the car rags hung the "muscle car" moniker on the GTO and it stuck.

Using the correct fuel line it can. Some Moto Fuss is have in tank pumps. Every one of them came from the factory in Italy with plastic filters and the wrong fuel line.
Many have failed with either the filter swelling and leaking or the fuel line coming off the filter or pump.
