I'm with you gunner. After having a big stroker motor I kind of miss the RPM of a light rotating assembly. Let us know what cam you end up using on this!
Great numbers, I have never seen that cam before. Comp doesnt have any info on the website for it do you have the cam card? TF PP270 and this big solid looks like a winning combination. Street driving it would be interesting.
Like hemirunner mentioned that motor would probably top out at...
Saw this on moparts, 6 posts down. Monte's automotive story in his own words from last year.

I dont go to moparts often and never met him but i have read a lot of his posts from searches of the forum to get help for a...
Good question cranky. Car will be at the track later this month so I'll let you know. On the street my car keeps pulling so I keep feeding the gas. The only dyno (engine) its been on showed that horsepower fell flat at around 5500; this was with a 650 cfm AVS on a stock cast iron intake...
I regularly shift a 383 B motor at 6200 RPM. It loves it. Forged crank '71 HP. Bottom end is fine with the short stroke/oversquare design of low decks, the valve train and valve float is what you will want to keep an eye on.
That's serious bad luck. Get a forklift and a bobcat in there asap and pick it up by the subframe connectors. Or you could take the doors off and use your roll cage bars as a lift point. Hope those welds are 360 degrees...safety first.
My goal is to get my 67 GTX project on the track, any track. Target is to have it drag and road racing by May. 4 speed with hurst ready to go in, just got the disc brake conversion on sale. Still need steel passenger fender and hood, windshield. 15" steels to clear the new brake calipers. Need...
Haven't been this year and you're right times can change. Losing key employees hurts any shop but he has to make things right with you. Hope you can work it out and recover. There are other shops around here but for hemi builds you may need to go with the big names nationwide with reputations to...
I've had work done at jimi's shop and always had a good experience. His family has been doing mopar stuff for a long time and he has a lot of knowledge that you won't find many places locally. There are always rare mopes and street rods there getting this or that and it's good to talk to someone...
