    Not the official weather thread.....

Snow today and tomorrow. It's funny here because what looks like fog here are just clouds below 7300'. The indicator is fog collects in valleys. Clouds are thicker on hilltops. It would be extremely unusual to have enough humidity to create fog. Even when it's very cold it's never humid...

I'm thinking this Ford might make a good Burt Reynolds "White Lightning" clone.

It's got a 400. Sounds like they lowered the compression from 1971. In the movie, they say it has a 429. pecs datasheet with technical data and performance data plus an analysis of the direct market competition of Ford LTD Convertible 400 V-8 Cruise-O-Matic (aut. 3) in 1972, the model with...

Funny you should mention barge. The stunt that didn't go quite as planned.

I'm thinking this Ford might make a good Burt Reynolds "White Lightning" clone.

I think the only feasible way to convert it to a 4-speed would be to find a donor car. I'd have to figure out which models and year would swap.

I'm thinking this Ford might make a good Burt Reynolds "White Lightning" clone.

Yep, Custom 500. All LTDs are hardtops. I'm guessing I can fake a Hurst 4-speed shifter moving the column auto to the floor. I think they make auto shifters that simulate the look of 4-speeds. I once read the engine and shift sounds were borrowed from a Mustang. I was surprised the movie car...

Barbara Eden Interview (92 years young)

Did you ever see the episode of The Andy Griffith Show with her? This was before Jeannie. Andy was trying to explain why her presence in town was making all the women uncomfortable. The way he put it was God was way too generous to her when he was handing out gifts.

    Header problems on the 383.

Just a bit of background on the car. We are closing in on being done with the 1971 Charger 500. When I bought it, it had a 440 with a spun bearing but the original numbers matching 383 came with it. I had the 383 rebuilt years ago and once it was installed and started it had a pretty bad...

Highest resale color for a B Body?

One problem I have with bright yellow B Bodies is the taxi cab look. I'd like to change the color of the '70 Coronet 500 project. It's in its original color, cream. I like Citron yellow but it's a '71 color. BTW thanks for the Hagerty article.

Highest resale color for a B Body?

I think it was beige. I wouldn't mind Citron Yella.

Highest resale color for a B Body?

I've seen really nice cars sell at auction and the only reason for the low price was the color choice. There was a boring color Super Bee and they thought the bland color hurt the sale.

Highest resale color for a B Body?

Let's say from 1968-1972. B-Bodies only. Originality does not count. Just in your experience what shade brings the most money on the auction block?

    Old cop shows.

It is usually not the criminal. Usually, a weak guy on the street might have information. Rick Hunter would take him to an alley and pummel him. Dee Dee was always picking locks and searching without a warrant. That kind of policing is over. I've heard cops on camera say "In the old days...

What do you guys hate about this 1970 Coronet R/T for sale?

I love, love, love the '70 Coronet/Super Bee front ends. My love comes from high school. My friend Terry had a Super Bee in bronze, white top and interior. Back end was way up with skyjackers and huge meats on the back. 4 speed pistol grip. I'll never forget that car, neither will anyone...

    Old cop shows.

The detectives always got the clues or broke the case by knocking the **** out of the people on the street. Right up to the 90's Miami Vice. I guess phone cams have ended all that. All you have to do is watch youtube. Cops can't touch you now without getting charged. I'm sure some will...

Just Looking For Feedback For A Move (Western States)

Eastern Washington and Oregon want to secede and join with Idaho because of the liberalism of the coastal cities. Don't move to Montana until you experience the winters there. I've been in Colorado for 24 years and it has become way too liberal since liberals from other states come here with...

    A secondary temp sensor location on a 383 4bbl???

We are wiring up the new aluminum radiator with electric fans on the 71 Charger 500. I know where the sensor by the water pump is, but I need another spot for the fan sensor. We found a plug on the rear of the intake manifold. Will that work or is the another one? I don't want to sacrifice...
