Road course/auto cross tires on 15" rim

Not sure if I’m missing other sizes with Avon but everything I see is smaller in diameter. I’m at 26.5” tall and that’s about as small as I’d like to go.

Road course/auto cross tires on 15" rim

Not sure. There’s gotta be compound and construction differences, but I can’t find anything either. With the whole Hoosier distributor/dealer system, it seems tire information and availability is limited. Like they want you to only deal with their distributors and sales reps. I’m not a fan!

Road course/auto cross tires on 15" rim

I’d take that to the track and run it ragged. Obviously on wide 15’s with steel wheels.

Thanks….If you look close enough, you can see daylight under the tire.

Road course/auto cross tires on 15" rim

Sorry I’m late to the conversation here. Work has been a bear. I’m running Mickey Thompson tires with 245/60R15 in the front, and 295/50R15 in the rear. They have a 440 treadwear rating. Great for the street, but leave a lot on the table at the track. Here’s a link to my setup: B Bodies and...

1969 Roadrunner Front wheel width/tire sizing fit?????

That’s exactly what I’m running in my 69’ Super Bee. Only issue I had were the wheel weights (hammered on) contacted the upper control arm. Stick on weights solved that. Here’s my build… (Post #4) Super Bee Build Link

    Mickey Thompson tires

I've got Mickey Thompsons on my Bee. 295's on the rear and 245's on the front. I punish them a little more than most and they are doing well. Surprisingly lasting longer than I had expected them to. They currently have 4 track days on them and are still about 1/2 tread.

    summit wheels

I bought a set from Summit ( 15x8 Part #63-5812042). I scuffed them with a red scotchbrite pad and sprayed them with base coat/clear coat in B5. Seem to be holding up just fine. I'd should say the factory dog dish caps don't stay on very well.

Getting ready to order some tires....last minute thoughts ?

I am running A body spindles and disc brakes, maybe that moves things out a bit. The wheel weights would contact the control arm under certain loads. I went to stick on wheel weights and all is well.

Getting ready to order some tires....last minute thoughts ?

actually had a clearance issue with the wheel weight contacting the upper arm. I ended up going with stick on wheel weights for the front and all is well. The 4” back space should give you more clearance to the arm, but it would be closer to the fender. Not sure if the Charger fender has more...

Getting ready to order some tires....last minute thoughts ?

I'm very happy with my Mickey Thompsons Sportsman S/T's. They seem to handle track use and street use well, and aren't wearing down as fast as I'd expect them to. Here are the sizes on my 69' Bee Front Rim: 15x8, 4.5 bs Front Tire: 245/60R15 Rear Rim: 15x10, 5.5 bs Rear Tire: 295/50R15
