I run the ACC big block 26" in my 71 with a stock clutch fan and factory shroud. It cools my 440 in the SC heat just fine with the AC running. No experience with their electric fans but the radiators are good.

43 degrees with the windows open on max AC is good. Max recircs inside so if you close the windows it should drop more. The weakest point we have on these systems is the weak factory blower fan.

Same kit in my 71 and I also charged it today. I was able to get 30 low, and 200 high with three cans. 40 degrees out the center vent. Did you put a vacuum on it first and let it sit for a while to verify no leaks?

Original air is part of Classic auto air. I used the 22-314-BB kit

The kit was complete with everything except the freon. Was easy to install only had to get a couple hoses crimped after cutting them to length.

Classic auto air has a firewall forward kit. That is what I used.

AC cars also used one. My 70 Charger/Coronet service manual shows it in the vacuum diagram. Is your 70 Charger an AC car? I kinda wonder it it shares the can or has separate ones.

On 71's it's located under the battery tray. Look for the two small holes under there, that would be evidence of one being mounted.

Have the same ACC in my 71. Looks factory, cools properly with all accessories. I also have a complete set of glass in the car that fit perfectly. No complaints here on their products.
