    Found a rough 69 383 and 727 for $250 locally…deal or pass?

With the price of OEM parts even if the internals are shot you'd still make a profit selling it off in pcs. Get the numbers and post them. Might be someone's engine they're looking for.

Which Engine Paint do you like?

New cork vc gaskets + rtv will fix the issue.

    Fantastic!

One thing to the next :/

Ok then to me that would rule out an internal leak but I'm no expert. Rear main seal?

One thing to the next :/

Is it blowing smoke out of the tail pipe? If so then that will confirm the internal dip question.
  10. The Rebel

One thing to the next :/

I don't see how that's possible to have oil inside the pipe that leaks out unless the pipe has holes in that area. Any smoke coming out at the tail pipe?

    Windage tray

Thanks! So just 5 additional HP makes the difference between an Non-HP & a HP engine.

    Windage tray

Perhaps we need to ID what we mean by HP 383. My Chargers 383 is a non-HP (330 hp), so did mine have a windage tray or not?

    Windage tray

That's a GREAT question as I'm trying to find out if my 383 in my Charger should have one. It's wierd as the parts manual does not show it in the dreawings but they mention it.

It's still on my car. I don't have a lift, so I'd be keeping it on until I have everything switched over and then at put up for sale. I've got to save up some money before I can get this project started.
