Fender tags: What codes did they list, which ones were left off?

Somewhere there was an article as to how the production line operated, from getting the orders in the system until they came off the line. Don't remember where it was but, probably here on FBBO, but as my car is a code 691 (sold car) the fender tag I'm sure was used to call out the options that...

    1969 Charger 500 Rebuild

Sorry to hear that but it might still be there but in a different location. If you could post pictures of the BS the would be great as well as posting the full VIN so the search engines can see it. The other owner may be looking for it.

    1969 Charger 500 Rebuild

Value is tough to say all depends on condition, originality, options and rarity. Also, all depends on what someone will pay for it. All of the auctions (Barrett Jackson, Mecum...) have driven costs thru the roof.

    1969 Charger 500 Rebuild

I bet the build sheet is still in there, has to be based on the info you've provided. Back in the day no one really looked for build sheets but today we're all looking for documentation. Check behind the back seat top. Now the real question is when you find it will it be for your car.

    1969 Charger 500 Rebuild

Nice to see you're saving it and thanks for the back story! As far as the fender tag all you have to do is take it off & take a picture of the back side then flip the image so that you can read it. That makes it easier to read.

Looks great Mark. It's gonna be cold for sometime so at least it's out now rather than in the spring. Jealous that you have a nice warm garage to work in, while I was outside all day working on mine, lol.

I live in the next town over from raybestos which was in stratford ct. I remember they had a green pond out in the front from all the pollution. Raybestos polluted stratford heavily. I have friends that live there and when they were kids they used to play in the dirt piles loaded with the dust...

Thanks Mark & Big D for all of the pic's & explanations. I've gotten to be a junkie on decoding these. Mark you should build a timeline of all of the parts in date order so we can see how this beauty all came together. Big congrat's to you on such a beautiful time capsule!
