When was the flexible brake line from body to axle changed? These can sometimes deteriorate internally and create a check valve like situation where the fluid will push through but be very very slow to return.
The battery I used is a sealed unit so the battery caps had 3M adhesive on the back and you just peel and stick in place, then put on the two battery decals and your done. But if you get a battery with removable caps then order the appropriate kit to work with it.
Which ever you decided to go with I'd highly recommend these guys for your battery needs.
WESKCAR - Tar Topper and Battery Topper alternative
I purchased one of their kits for my 68 Coronet vert and couldn't be happier with it, I've had several people ask me if that was an OEM reproduction...
Very nice car...congrats! The seams splitting on the seats brought me back to my all original EW1 73 340 Roadrunner I had with a white gut...same seats and splitting. ;)
When I was looking for a 71 Superbee I noticed that a lot of people swap out the Superbee taillights for the R/T units...personally I like the look of the Super tailight more. ;)
The car looks much better with the new rims and tires!
Was there actually an OEM trailer wiring harness set-up for these cars? I've never come across one, it's always been hacked into the OEM harness. I'll be interested to see what those more knowledgeable then me have to say about this.
I'm not a fan of high impact colours, but your car looks great! I think because it has all the additional black to offset the colour.
I'd leave it as original as possible and just clean and upgrade as required and just drive it and enjoy! But if you did want to convert it to a 4spd for a...
The wrong colour would be a big negative for me....and FC7 is not one of my favorite colours, but at least it's only on the engine bay right now so easily changed to what other colour might work for you.
Nice to see some young ones getting into the old cars, heck of a first project car...
My first memories with Mopars were cruising in my friends 73/74 Charger, Def Leppard blaring and smoke rolling into the car from the rear tires thorugh the rusty trunk and quarters...Ahh good times!
I emailed someone on this car a few months back when it was for sale for about $8000....never jumped on it due to the roof. But then saw it pop up for $25K a couple months ago, and with pics of it showing up on a open car hauler. Guess this person must have got it for around the 8K price now...
Clearly I'm not the only one looking for a 71 Bee....;)
I have looked at that green 71 survivor bee but the price and damage just doesnt work for me at his asking price. I might be interested in the 18-19K range but not 25K.
That blue 71 bee fro Honolulu looks like a nice car...but the ride...
I have a friend who turned wrenches for a living for a lot of years, and he's very OCD about his tool box even now. Everything is in immaculate shape, tool box waxed and polished with a cover, and tools are so organized, almost a work of art!
Me not so much, my tools are organized in drawers...
All the time...I know I have it somewhere so spend 3 hours trying to find it to no avail so you eventually break down and purchase the item, then to stumble across it a few days later when looking for something completely different.
I was scouring over those pics as well and noticed that too. Looks like someone keyed the car around the RH rear quarter?? but the paint looks fine but the stripe looks like it was painted over.
I'm currently on the hunt for a 71 Superbee and saw this one as well...just too bad it is one of the colours I like the least. :(
And thank you T2R9 for the info on the bumpers, valance and other facts...great info to have when looking at cars.
My Father years ago had a 76-ish Jeep Wagoneer and turned left in front of a new small toyota pickup, it plowed right into the pass front corner and looked like it had hit a light pole....motor and tranny were shoved through the dash! My Father, my brother and I grabbed the bumper and managed...
