    Having trouble finding steel shim head gaskets for big blocks. The Mr. Gasket version has some kind of clear coating that looks irregular, and Mopar Performance gaskets are crazy expensive. Has anyone used the Superformance brand?

    Ran a set of Hooker slip fit 2-1/8 on an RB with no clearance issues at all. On a B engine with an 11 inch flywheel, even the Schumachers hit the starter.

    I have no experience with 360 block. The weakness of the 400 and 440 is the main web area, shows up in the 750 and above HP range/ couple hundred passes. 230 block may last a little longer. Did you replace your Volare Gen III hemi crank/rods/ pistons? Is it turbocharged, and how much boost?

    That was a live stream joint effort build for another YouTuber. When Nick received the engine he stopped the dyno session when oil psi was low. Weeks later the engine owner tore it down and found that he had installed standard main bearings on a .020 under crank. Too many chefs in the kitchen...

    Absolutely must check that lifters rotate during assembly. Bores need to be clean, some may require light hone.
