Chuck, the ethanol in the "new" gas is crippling. I plan on running a cocktail of race fuel, and non ethanol, when I get the '63 out this year. I'll let you know how it works out...
I know I just posted this, may have been another thread ? I found this wheel from another Member here, along with some other hard to find '63 parts/panels. Needed some work, but a friend just refinished it for me. Looking forward to this year, and wrap my build up...
I looked into it years ago, for my '63, again a 1 year only wheel. Was $12-1400 for it. Wish I would have gotten back then. Out of reach, at this point...
Chuck, that's what makes these mid-60's Mopars so Cool ! Limited number of them out there, hard to find parts to restore, but when they're done, POW !!!!!!
Red, Praying my '63 will be on the Road, this year. It's ALL the teal/aqua Possible ! If we're close enough, check it out, if your not in a rush. My car came from the Factory this way, so it IS an overload...
I have a hard time changing the Factory Build color, as I like originality. Looks like it was white, but owning 2 Teal/Teal mid-60's, I've always liked the Teal/Aqua, especially with the new paints.
Another look, white with a teal roof, or teal with a white roof. I believe those were Factory...
Bill, Dan64 is correct to look at the weak areas on these cars. Also look at the rear quarters, around the wheel wells, the rear section of the rockers really show the originality, as they are unique, with the 3 half moon cut outs, and like the cowl, and inner dash section, look at the inner...
