Dadsbee is correct. Also, the original mylar is curved properly, unlike the repos that are not curved at all. So do not try to 'adjust' the original mylar.
Making the guides fit properly is a tedious job. Perhaps you can find some original guides from someone here. I reused all my original...
What @AR67GTX said is on the money.
One thing to consider, however, is the plastic guide and clip. The last time I looked, the new guides and clips that are available have some fitment problems. They bind due to the fact they are not curved like the originals and the clips are larger than the...
I've looked at as many threads here that I can find but can not seem to find a definitive answer. Hoping someone can help.
Most of the threads say no one makes trim rings for 14x5.5 rallye wheels. Only 14x6 which do not fit properly, they sit out 1/2" from the outer lip of the wheel.
I have a...
I agree and you make a good point. They are not meant to seal as much as to protect the body parts. When I put mine back on I used a VERY thin bead of sealer toward the inside edge so I would not push out past the outer edge of the seal. Don't know if it's going to help, but what the hell.
I found these 2 plastic pieces in my parts bin and I don't know what they are. Splash panels of some kind. Nice, just dirty. Not even sure if they are Mopar.
They are FREE to anyone who can identify them and who needs them.
I, too, worked the line at a Dodge dealer and the amount of ‘warranty’ work we did on NEW cars was astounding. I can remember many of the repair codes. And because you could only use a repair code once, we made up a lot of S—t.
I believe the overspray on the radiator support is because the worker on the factory line was spraying the black from a pit as the car passed over. My ‘66 Belvedere had overspray all over the front and support and it all looked like it had been shot from underneath.
I've searched here for a preferred re-chrome shop but found nothing definitive. I've found on the web We R chrome in Ohio, Sandy's Bumper Mart in Syracuse, Paul's Chrome in Penn and the Chrome Shop outside Chicago. Anyone have comments on any of these shops or have info on others shops that do...
Found this on another MOPAR forum. May answer your question
https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/628913/is-the-drip-rail-supposed-to-have-seam-sealer.html
I'll have to look this afternoon and let you know. There are many different brands with varying amounts of texture and metallic. Later MOPAR trim had more of both compared to my '66 Belvedere which had virtually no metallic or texture. I tested many paints against the original trim color and...
So here's a general guide: From course to fine.
BLACK = Emery Compound, a course abrasive material for removal of scratches, pits, paint, rust etc.
BROWN = Tripoli compound used for general purpose cut and color on most soft metals.
WHITE = Blizzard compound, used for color and final finish of...
