No but it looks really cool!
I question using a T top car for a high HP build though. These cars often developed cracks in the corners of the T top openings just from normal driving so I can only imagine what would might happen with 600 or 800 hp under the hood!
There was a T top Volare racing...
What many don't realize is that many of these heavy hitters in the hobby who buy and sell at the auctions trade these cars like stocks. They often buy a car or cars as a tax strategy, so they can come ahead paying what we see as paying stupid money.
We can blame excessive alcohol consumption...
A "Charlies Angels" lookalike Mustang II Cobra sold for $55K Saturday also. Malaise bringing some serious money now it seems.
When I was seeking a late B a few years ago for a comfortable cruiser, T tops or at least a sunroof were must haves. The one that sold for $38.5K is neat but didn't...
I thought we'd talked about this one a couple years ago when it sold for $24,000 on BAT but can't find it now.
I remember a thread on it where everyone was amazed what a Cordoba sold for, maybe it was in a different site.
Well it sold for over 50% more than that at Mecum Saturday.
1979 Chrysler...
Slapping "Charger" emblems on a B body platform Cordoba didn't hold a candle to a few years later when they slapped "Challenger" badges on a compact Mitsubishi.
Great looking car, I was drooling when it was discussed in the previous thread.
I bought a T top Magnum in 2021 and have been having a lot of fun with it! You don’t see many late Bs anymore and my Magnum often seems to get more attention at shows than my Challengers!
Not mine.
This one looks interesting if anyone is looking for a fairly complete looking project. The fender flares in good shape it has are near impossible to find. It would be nice if it had the original rally wheels, and the seats don't look original. GTs rarely turn up for sale and E58 was...
How often is a leaky T top seal an issue in Arizona? I'm guessing never if the car gets garaged when not out cruising!
I wonder what ever became of Magnum Guy / Mr Magnums project to get replacement seals available?
MAGNUM/CORDOBA T-TOP SEALS
I've heard of the issue before but it didn't concern...
I spent a couple years looking for a T top Magnum, Cordoba, or 300 and felt lucky to finally find the Magnum I bought. I probably overpaid for it, but no regrets.
I'd say the $15,000 price several have suggested here is a pretty good ballpark number, as values have been rising and decent...
The pictures look like it might have Colorado plates on it but blurred out.
California is a long way to send a car for a Mecum auction if one is in Wisconsin. They have auctions much closer like Indianapolis and Chicago.
Being a Wisconsin car, I wonder if it was scaly underneath or clean.
Hard...
I've only seen a handful of them in my life, and the Mecum one is the only one I've seen with T tops.
I worked at a machine shop part time for a couple years when I was in college in the early 80s, and one day one of my colleagues showed up with one, and said it was "really rare". Of course at...
At the Mecum Glendale auction next month. Lucky for me it’s out there and not near me at Mecum Indy in May, or else I’d be inclined to bid on it even though I have no room in the garage for it!
1977 Dodge Charger SE Midnight Edition | W33 | Glendale 2023 | Mecum Auctions
As one who recently developed an interest in late B bodies after being a fan of 60s to early 70s Mopar muscle cars for close to forever, I was disappointed to find little to no models have ever been available of them.
MPC had a 1/25 annual plastic 75 Fury/roadrunner I believe, and maybe nothing...
Great seeing your car at Moparty.
Funny story, I was riding around on a golf cart with some friends last Saturday, and as we were by the Holley stand, one pointed to your car and said, hey there is a car like yours!
I said, no I have a '78 Magnum, that is a '76 Charger Daytona!
They were both...
