Will it start if you dump fuel in carb? Also, Sounds crazy simple but I’d take a gas can and run hose right from fuel pump to can. Bypassing everything tank related. Just to make sure for my own piece of mind. If it doesn’t start, youve taken tank and lines right out of equation. Good luck.
FWIW, I just replaced an hp 383 for a 400 stroker to 512. 383 just wasn't doing it. Furious had a good suggestion. I actually had a Mopar guy tell me I dressed up the 383 a bit during the winter. What he didn't know it was not the 383. You can't tell the difference until you check the numbers...

For me it isn't a big deal as I had holes in the door panels for speakers that had been done by po. I was going to suggest the kick panels. As stated it will spread the sound out a lot better than 2 little speakers coming out of the same hole, although for that not seen look, a very good idea...
