I bought one for my scooter a couple of years ago.
I want to say 12 AH
$70
Then, before it arrived I found a traditional LA batt at a thrift store NIB for $10, and bought that.
Last year my riding mower battery died. 350 CCA IIRC
The Li batt is only 260 CCA but it's been in there since the end...
Did not read the entire thread but....
My 318 almost always starts by the third crank (about the count of three, or 3 seconds).
I set the choke/high idle with one push.
That's sometimes after a couple or a few months with 89/90 octane non-ethanol.
Occasionally it takes a few more seconds...
There is a "wire way" at a roughly 30 degree angle beneath the kick panels, doors, and rear interior panel. It is sheet metal, welded every few inches, and can be bent open to lay wiring in.
It is covered by the carpet.
I've always run amp power straight from the battery with #12 or #10 stranded wire.
I put the power wires in the opposite floor channel from the speaker wire.
Ammeter is connection from the alternator/regulator.
I've seen several that were problematic and bypassed.
Should have the thickest wires besides battery cables attached to the posts.
There should/may be a splitter with bullet connectors for various dash lights.
Trace some orange wires and see.
May be near the ashtray to connect lights (whether they're there or not) in the console (whether it's there or not).
.440 lift is .040 more than the factory .400 lift "318 cam".
That's a sizeable increase as the closer you get to .500 lift the more problems you start running into, like milling the valve guides.
My guess is the duration is a relative increase as well (don't have stock spec in front of me)...
Have you looked inside yet?
Sometimes the belt(s) is real easy to replace.
Other times it's a royal PITA that involves removing parts that are seemingly not designed to ever be moved without breaking something or throwing something out of adjustment.
...but sometimes they are easy.
Finding a...
I had one of these in my 66/67 Coronet's back in the day.
it was small enough that I could still see the speedometer. Looks like there are some on ebay.
Plymouths have a decidedly different shape speedo but it should still fit without blocking the numbers.
I believe the gen III version has...
Main advantage I see is local availability of glass fuses is almost nil.
$5 for ONE 5A glass fude.
$5 for twelve 5A ATN style fuses!
I'm not doing it though.
I did build an adapter to use an ATN fuse in a stock glass fuse spot.
This will help me troubleshoot a fuse blowing issue with my...
Generally, single filament "11xx" series bulbs have locating pins both at the same height on the sides.
Dual filament bulbs have them at different heights, so you can't put the wrong bulb in the wrong socket.
Look in the socket and see if it has one contact in the middle, or two, slightly off...
