Funny you say "tight to the pan".... I was under my car looking over my to do list and I thought...man that's close to the pan. I can fit my fingers in there but not a bunch more.
Hooker super comp 1 7/8s here...they fit with no hammer. I do have the mini starter and once I went to the "thick crush" gaskets from Mancini Racing all is good.
I have supercomps...they fit nice but it seems the metal is thin and you get a tin, cheep sound to them when cursing ...my next set will have thicker metal and thicker flanges...just my $.02.
Another question I have...I see the hedman elite have the thicker steel (if I'm reading rite) on the tubes of the two and thicker flanges and tubes than super comps (what I'm using now)...would that be noticeable on under the hood heat and noise?
Just wondering....anyone run the Hush Thrush? I'm running the flowmaster 40 and really don't care for them...way too loud in the car.
