I've seen that, but I use a 'glass hood with pins so that doesn't matter in my particular application. I just need any '68 piece so my grille/HL bezel assembly will bolt on with no drama. Thanks for the input though, always appreciated.

Yeah, the '69 is shaped a little different at the top, which makes the grilles non-interchangeable between those years. Thanks anyway Randy!

..Depending on who you talk to determines the name...The FSM calls it the "upper cross bar". It's the "T"-shaped piece that the hood latch spring and grill mount to. Thanks

I have one off a '78 RV 440. You can see where some rubber has chunked off on the backside, around the exposed edges. Not sure if that renders it useless though? Inner crank hub surface looks good. Timing seal groove is very slightly noticeable with a fingernail but not bad. It wasn't stuck...

So you're not going with that builder from your other threads? I thought he was supplying you a crankshaft? New cranks are available pretty much everywhere unless you specifically want an old used OEM unit..

They just need to match the U-joint size (7260 or 7290) and have the right bolts. If your yoke has threaded holes (which I think all the 8-3/4s did) you want regular bolts, not u-bolts. I used something like these, the bolts screwed into the yoke so I didn't need the included nuts. I may have...
