Holley 660's on a Tunnel Ram...What carb kit for a rebuild?

Like 6PKRTSE mentioned, many of the Holley kits have been lumped together now which is good in a way but it sometimes makes it tricky to get the right parts. If the off-the-shelf kits from places like the Summit don't work for me I call Jim at Allstate Carburetor. (631) 234-8327

505 cid intake and carb??? Any suggestions?

I've had excellent results with Trick Flow's intake and old 850 Demon (been modded to death and wet flowed at 940cfm) on a 3700lb race-weight 68 Satellite with a 505, 10.0 compression, 3.73s and 28" tire and a [email protected] solid cam (727 trans). Oh, it could take more but that's where I'm at. I...

Major bummer. We're clinging to Famoso! Luckily it's still BFE territory around there....

pre oiling top end of 440 motor

Just to add...the "turn it to X degree" method may not always work. Maybe just my luck, but I've had some aftermarket cams that apparently didn't have the journal drilled in exactly the same spot as the factory cams. I guess they figure it really doesn't matter because during operation, the oil...

Dammit Bio that's a real bummer. That was a heckuva good engine... ... extra motivation get that 572 rollin'!

    Head Gasket Cylinder Overhang

...not to mention the extra $$ to have the block decks machined properly for them. Great gaskets though.

    Head Gasket Cylinder Overhang

It was all about making it easier for the line workers to slam the pistons into the bores...or so I've been told (by someone that actually did engine assembly for Chrysler in the mid-late 70s). I think you're overthinking it a bit....which we all do sometimes. Forget the minimal compression...

    Weiand Tunnel Rams

Thanks guys. That's what I'd heard too, that it had bigger ports...but info on these is convoluted at best. Dwayne P even mentioned (though he wasn't sure) the numbers might have pertained to the bottom half only, so....who knows. Depending on the next copper scrap-out I might just buy one of...

    Weiand Tunnel Rams

Hi all, I posted this in General Tech before and didn't get any solid info, so thought I'd try it here before letting it go....The new Weiand Hi-Rams for RB engines are part #1987, and I see several #5987 manifolds, also referred to as 'stage 2' which seem to be a former model that's available...

With Stinger Fiberglass now seemingly gone, what company makes the best glass hoods?

So...have you actually bought from him and had to use that warranty? Because he's shown to be an unreliable asshat when you get crappy parts as far as I'm concerned.

They're still around too but I've never used them.

With Stinger Fiberglass now seemingly gone, what company makes the best glass hoods?

Yes Stinger and AAR became the same shop a few years back. Glasstek in Illinois or AAR/Stinger in Florida are the only two I would use myself, or recommend to anyone else. Good experiences and products with both but get your wallet out!

    Front Shock Question

I can't help with a part# but for my rear adjustables, I had to drive the bushing out of my existing shock and re-use it. On the fronts, I simply ran a drill through it until the lower sleeve and bolt fit, done. It's ain't enough that we have to pay more for "Mopar" but then the crap shows up...
