I don't care if the question has been asked 1000 times there is always something to learn. That's what this place is all about learning and understanding how it works. I also agree with Don don't remember doing it the way he wants to do it.
Bulkhead connection found bad connections on the engine side. Have cleaned and made sure making contact. Problem gone but always make sure grounds are grounded no paint grease etc. I have had coil get hot and zero start when cooled down it would fire up so check temp of coil after it's been...
Do yourself a favor and breakdown each section and easier to troubleshoot. Amp rate with battery. What is the Amp draw with the fans?. Start with fans maybe full pull on amps but should drop after that as stated above. Small things first and go from there.
Okay you put on a 130 Amp but didn't up the wiring size big problem. Second are the fans on all the time or ran by temp sensor?. Have you had the new alt checked out to make sure it's okay. Or you could take all that off and go back to factory stuff. Have you full fielded the 130 Amp to make...

Safety at any point is most important. Fuses, circuit breakers and relays help to protect from fire. The biggest thing I do is up the size on the wire. Example if the wire is a 12 gage I'll up it to carry the load easily. Everyone ups the Amp load at the alt but nothing to carry the new load...
It can be done get a manual of the Canadian polora. Then match up yours to it and go for it. You might be able to get someone on here that has a copy or make a copy from their book. I would also like to do that swap as soon as I can find the dash. Good luck
