I think the door barrier is the answer or plugged drain holes at bottom of door. Many other answers could also be the problem. Water hose and a friend inside the car.
OH Sh!!!!!!!!!!. If it were not for bad luck and you know the rest. Sorry for the luck. My window installer used Urethane and now have been fighting leaks. Can't find butyl anymore. Someone turned me on to a silicone black glazing and beading compound. Think you can find it on E bay. Bought mine...
Change up too front disc from Wilwood. Running Dot 5 fluid. They are proud of the that fluid. LOL. But very happy with the stopping power. Got rid of that front end shaking when stopping. Best move I could have made. Could not find good new brake drums. They were egg shaped to say the least and...
Had a go with a gal that had a 69 charger for sale. It was a scam for sure. If you can't see the car in person, then no go for me. The combo that is led me to believe something is at myth with the car. It just don't sound right.
Do you have the original one. Had to get mine from Tony's mopar parts. Those are not reproduced. It was in pretty bad shape but had it chromed by a local chrome shop. It turned out nice.
Frame rails are reproduced and can be bought through AMD. They may not be as bad as you think. See you have good skill's and think you can handle the build. Had to make some parts in the inner frame at the back window. Bought a bead roller form east wood and made my own part's. Good luck and...
So all jokes aside. What you have their is rare. When getting mine my wife said you sure that should have not gone too the junk yard. 5 and half year's in mine but am retired and could work all the time on it. Thought several time's what I had gotten my self into. But I wanted a 69 runner...
One more thing done. That is the way it goes. Once the body is all done and motor and all installed every thing else seems to go pretty quick. Keep it up bud your getting it done.
You will be glad you put the insulation in. It is a good sound deadener also. Did not do up the back seat pan but did do the bottom. Also did my roof. Use X matt and the roof is a different type of product for more heat. East wood sell's it and cheap enough. Keep up the work looking good.
Think you are right. This runner had the plastic bracket on the passenger side. Just one was left on the car. I always thought that they kept dirt and trash that you could not get out. In result was rotted rocker's. Every time I have pulled them off a car their was rust back their. Thought to my...
Are you putting the stainless steel covers on the rocker's. Or should I say trim. Just about put those on my runner. Then decided not to do it. Get us some pic's when their on.
Using the original one's for now. Going to clean them up and coat them with heat treat paint. Thanks for the info. Thought I remembered taking the Z bar off to take the exhaust off. Appreciate the input.
Wonder if I should go ahead and put the Z bar and all the clutch linkage in before installing the exhaust pipes or the other way around. On this 69 runner. Any thoughts appreciated. blue68runner
