Mine is July 10th too. Mine is a V code 440 Sixpack car. That's a great looking R/T SE! My parents bought an R/T SE new in 1970 there car was triple green.
The orange one was another color from the factory. I remember seeing it throughout the car in the pictures. I can't remember, but it might have been white. The cars were in Middletown Connecticut. My car was pretty rough too. I sold it and bought storage lifts for the garage with the funds.
There were two 70 Road Runner convertible project cars for sale in Connecticut. I saw them on Craigslist about a year ago. One was blue and the other was painted orange, but I think that it was a different color from the factory. Both were rough, but reasonable as far as the asking prices go.
That's a sweet Charger R/T V code car! They built 349 4 speed V code Charger R/Ts and and 337 automatic v code Charger R/t's. My car is one of the automatic cars. I converted it to a 18 spline 4 speed and a 3.54 Dana 60 rear axle, because even though I had the matching numbers engine,the...
Yes those are Keystones. The car came from the factory with magnum 500 wheels. The other two magnum 500 wheels had the studded snow tires on them for the winter.
My friend has a 70 Charger N code 383 car. It had a 66 383 engine in it. He answered a Craigslist ad for a 70 HP 383 engine and it turned out to be the matching numbers engine to his car! He didn't mention to the seller it was the original engine to his car,but he said it was hard to maintain a...
This was my mom's 70 Charger R/T SE that my parents bought new. I have been told it still exists, and is in a town 15 miles away from me. I haven't seen the car since 1986.
I wish I had kept my A12 Superbee!! WM23M9A283001. Last seen in Maine in primer on a rotisserie. Supposedly going to be painted back to the original Bamaha Yellow.
I tried to buy a white 70 Hemi GTX 4 speed car from a salvage yard I'm Massachusetts in 1978. It was missing the driveline, including the Dana rear axle. The drivers side vent window was smashed out,and the steering column broken into pieces. The air grabber hood was still there,it said Hemi...
If any of you guys want to build replicas of your old 71 Chargers, I will have 4 rollers that I will be selling in the near future. I have a 71 Charger R/T 440 4 speed Dana car with the N96 Ramcharger hood option. Only 332 built in 1971,and probably less than 100 with the N96 Ramcharger hood...
71 and up B Bodies need big fat tires filling up the rear wheel wells,! I have 295/50/15s on 10 inch wide wheels on most of my third generation Chargers.
The car landed on its roof windshield first. It was in the fall and cool outside,so the power windows were up. The battery wasn't secured and came disconnected when the car flipped,so they couldn't lower the windows. The A pillars buckled and pinched the vent windows so the doors wouldn't open...
My friend had a 70 Charger R/T SE sunroof car,and he was hit broadside by a van,the car hit the curb and rolled down an embankment. The roof was damaged but not destroyed, and the sunroof setup was salvaged and grafted into a Superbird! I have a 69 Charger R/T SE sunroof car. It needs a full...
I was never a big fan of 71 and up Chargers. I was always a 68 to 70 guy. But my friends were into 71 Charger R/Ts and they grew on me, now I have four of them.
IIRC the car you are looking for was built at the Lynch Road plant. I believe that the engine would have been in either a 68 Road Runner or GTX, or a 68 Super Bee,or Coronet R/T. A Charger would have been built at the St Louis or Hamtramck plants.
