    1973 roadrunner power steering problem

The supplier to your source for the pumps and boxes may be the problem. There are few true rebuilders, most will be a splash of paint and replace a seal or two. Lifetime warranties don't mean poo when you have to keep swapping the item out. Add to that if you are paying to get it done, many...

Any experience with Cardone rebuilt power steering box?

If you want a reman stocker, Firm Feel, Steer and Gear, Redhead are your best bets. They are TRULY REBUILT. Not just replace a seal, paint it and kick it out the door to the next sucker. Lifetime warranty doesn't mean poo when you have to keep replacing it for free.

    Master cylinder oe application.

I guess the PO just slapped it all together. Good to go now. Got the system bled out, went for a drive, all is good. Didn't see any fluid leaks. Will re-check over the next few days.

    Master cylinder oe application.

Update time. I never did hear back from the Doc so I took a gamble on the F-body master. Good to go so far. Got it bench bled, adjusted the pushrod as it was about 1/2" short on stick out. It's mounted up now and am waiting for my friend Jeff, p/o of my 65, to come by and supply leg for the rest...

    FRONT BRAKE SETUP 62 DART

Looks like the pin type caliper from the 70's. I think thats what I put on my 70 Challenger when I did the disc swap. Used the 73- a-body spindle, Cordoba caliper, caliper mount and rotor. Could also use the slider caliper from the a-body and some others if I used the corresponding caliper...

    Master cylinder oe application.

For sure on the kits, waste of time. Calipers ok, anywhere else F No. Perusing through the Rock's site, it looks like an F body master. Going to eyeball the flare fittings to see if thats the size. 1/2 and 9/16 inv. K car rings a bell but smaller bore and fittings. I want to do a straight swap...

    Master cylinder oe application.

I was checking out the master on my wagon, Doc's unit for front disc conversion 1 1/32" and it appears it may be leaking out the back. Was wet at the booster face but that made have been residual from a few days ago when I put on some better pads and topped off. Before the top off, there was...

    Brake caliper clearance

Looking at the two pictures, is your suspension at full droop/wheels off the ground? If so, look at that area when wheels are on the ground and check clearance. Turn right/left etc full lock and look.

    Third time is a charm.

Gotta love parts that are supposed to fit in a given area and only truly fit in your trunk or truck bed. QC is a thing of the past sometimes.

Lowering the car but turning the control arm?

And check the sleeves in the k-frame that the control arm shaft go through. Welds can crack letting the sleeve spin, get wallowed out etc.

Bergman PS box (Borgeson) and Lares PS box on a 66 Hemi?

Since it looks like you'll stay with an oe box, check in with Redhead out of Washington state. Another rebuilder, like Firm Feel and Steer and Gear, who do a proper job of actually rebuilding the unit. Unlike parts stores and many other outlets where, if you're lucky, the reman company they...

1966 Charger Borgeson steering box issues

7/16 bolts would be 55-65 ftlbs, low for grade 5 and high for 8's. 1/2" bolt would be 80-95. Same deal on bolt hardness. If you can't get a torque wrench in there, go by feel and put red Loctite on like Greg suggested. Also make sure the bolts are not bottoming out in the k-frame. I had to...

    Factory Brakes

73- A-body and several other cars. Looks like you have the 10.75" rotor. You can kick that up to the 11.75" giving you more swept area and leverage. Dr Diff has the caliper brackets to do that if you don't have a source on good used ones. The Doc, Rock Auto and your parts stores have/can get the...

    Prothane Lower Control Arm Bushings

Along with the squeaks, urethane is not as resilient as rubber in that location. Meaning it will mushroom out fairly quick whereas rubber, at least good ones, will last along time. There is a massive load there and the urethane doesn't do well. Upper arms, sway bar, leaf springs, strut rods are...
