True on that. Maybe investigate about bringing the air in through the core support baffle or behind the headlight. I was looking at that routing on my 65 before I decided to do the cowl. You could put a screen at the outside air intake opening to keep some of the chunkies out of the box.
I don't remember which Procar unit I'm going to use but the catalog is marked. I plopped my butt in their seats at the SEMA show so its not for the skinny jean crowd.
My seats had no adjustment for recline, other than the risers which were maxed out. The wheel was rubbing my thighs after the new foam was installed. I gave the seats to a friend with a 65 who was in need. Going Procar for the new plus a smaller diameter tiller. But no chrome, welded chain unit...
When the seats get redone with new foam, the height increases. I found that out on my 65. Went from a nice height to touching the headliner. It already had the seat risers adjusted to the bottom setting. My old foam was dead and crumbling.
Did you check in with Hotwire? I believe they have the ability to work over the PCM and wiring as needed. If they don't, maybe they can point you in the right direction. The more tentacles the system has, the more complicated it will be. The 50/04 wasn't as bad as something way newer with more...
Not a Mopar but I did a Ford conversion some years ago. 50 Ford F1 body that I grafted onto an 04 Explorer chassis. My boss wanted me to re-use as much of the oe electronics as possible. Quite the daunting project. I had to keep the 04 instrument cluster as that was the CANBUS communication hub...
Many of the LED lamp units require you to cut the lamp bucket for them to fit in due to the mass behind the lens. When I was cruising SEMA last year, I was looking at the units from Dapper and the rep clued me in on an interesting tidbit. Along being able to custom order them for the Halo color...
Ok. I see it with what looks like spot welds, floor to the rail, in line with it plus more welds towards the center of the car about 3" or so away from the outer ones. Maybe you could this: form up a piece of 1/8"x 3.5/4" material that follows the rail contour. Maybe make it 6" long, hole in the...
As mentioned, you either re-use the originals or make new ones. I chose to make new ones since the front half of the floor was replaced plus I wanted a much larger attachment footprint. Looking at my old ones, I may be able to use them on my wagon when I put 3 point units in down the road.
