I just seen pics of a 440 stamping was was shaved off. On the front engine boss, only part of the info was there. The F440 was there & the letters HP were there. Looks like any other info were machined off. Any reason for that to be done ??

Leave the exhaust manifolds off if you are worried about hitting & scratching the paint. After intall, the dr side manifold goes right on. The pass side of the engine needs jacked up a little to install with no clearance issues.
Is it possible to clean the oil pickup while it's still in the pan on the car. By that, I mean can I take the oil filter off & force air back thru the system to clean any dirt or obstructions that may be clogging the pickup. Not that mine is clogged. I've always wondered that.
I believe the only thing we're doing to mine is changing the steel freeze plugs to brass. I was told by an expert, brass ones has less of a chance to weep antifreeze.
I just opened the boxes & read the info. I guess the pushrod holes will probably need opened. But more of a concern, someone said the stock pushrods might not fit for length. is that true.
I just got a set of the stealth heads from 440 Source. Do the factory pushrods work with these heads. And will i need to open the pushrod bore as I have the 3/8 pushrods. It's a stock 440+6.
I was able to remove it without jacking the engine up. I had to remove both sides of the exhaust flange & take out the spark plugs & remove the rocker cover.
I noticed some coolant dripping under my car. Fresh build ( 500 miles ) on my "70" 440. Completely stock engine. I found coolant coming under one of the head bolts by #3 plug. Could the coolant be coming up the bolt & weeping out??
