I'm not sure about the coil. But I had an orange box start to break up at about 2500 rpm's. Drove me nuts for a while. Changed the box only to still have the same problem. Found out I had a box ecu right out of the box. Had to put another one one. Then it worked perfectly.

I had 2 bad ones out of the box. Someone told me, they are a rev limiter. Mine wouldn't rev past 3000 rpms. After changing it, mine ran perfect.

Take the oil pump off & see if you can " tap " it up out of the block.

My clock adjuster pulled out of my tach clock. Who repairs them ??

I've put another "new" sending unit on it. This is currently working. Hopefully it stays that for for awhile.

UPDATE !! She's running perfect again. Turned out I had 2 bad ecu's. It's amazing, bad stuff right out of box. Thanks everbody for your help.

With electronic ignition. Should i ground it to the VR case or ECU case ?? Or does it matter ??

1970 RR 440. I'm thinking about putting a ground wire on my engine. Does someone have made up already or do we just make one. If we make one, what gauge wire & where to connect it.

Could the RTE voltage limiter be a possible problem ( 10 yrs old ). The rest of the gauges seem to work fine.

I've been buying the last 2 of them from someone on ebay. He says they are made in the USA. But I know they are the correct ones.
