Can the heat riser be tested prior to mounting the manifold back on. The butterfly valve swings freely. Can i heat it up to see if it opens properly ??
My 440+6 is a LA built car. Los Angeles built cars were mostly for the southwest area. But not all were destined for Calif. No Hemi cars were built at Los Angeles. But my 440+6 was ordered with the federal emissions. It's on the fender tag.

I always thought all 70 & 71 HP 440 blocks could be 6 pack engines. Other than the intake, the heads had different springs. Also the original 6 pack cams are 3 bolt also.

I like the original tick tock tach. I had gary "the tach man" redo mine for electronic ign. Also he puts in a quartz movement for the clock. Has run perfect ever since.

There is an electrical solenoid under the dash for the air grabber. Are you talking about that one or just the vacuum solenoid screwed to the hood?
