I hooked up my push button shift linkage on my 64 Polara. Now I got to go out and put the trans pan back on. Then I have to extend my downshift rod by ~2" and get that set correctly.
Putting my 64 back together again. Headliner in (that was fun), and the carpet is installed. Working on headlight buckets and wiring today. Having the furnace in my barn has been fantastic through this winter and through Covid. Late spring/early summer on the street and put to the strip.
I am installing in my roof rail seals and I have a problem maybe one of you can help with. I took mine apart so long ago I cannot recall its position.
Where does the roof rail mount in the front? There are two slots molded into the end of the rubber where it comes to a point. I assume these are...
I think I know where they go now. I need to remove the taillight assemblies and I bet I find the holes under there. Thanks again for jogging the memory.
I've been trying to see how it fits back there and there are no holes in that area that match the holes in the two pieces. I did all the paint and body work and there was no welding done in that area.
Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
I could use some help from anyone with a 64 Dodge Polara (and perhaps a 65 Dodge Coronet).
I have included two photos of two parts that I need identified. I am reassembling my car and for the life of me I cannot recall where these two parts go. They are thin sheet metal.
I am getting ready for street tires for my 64 Polara. I have some nice 15" "cop" wheels I plan to use. Anyone out there with a 64 Polara that can steer me toward a good tire size for street tires? I was thinking 205/70/R15.
Hi, I am starting to get on to installing my doors on my 64 Polara 2 door hardtop. I was wondering if anyone out there has a 64/65 Dodge and can send me a photo of the inside of their doors so I can see where the seal actually lands?

dirty job
I have been under the rear of my 64 Dodge Polara scraping away 50years of nasty Florida road junk (and old undercoating) so that I can get that end of the car looking as good as the other 2/3's. The inside of the trunk is all repaired and spackle-painted. I must say...it looks...
Finished the interior floor of the trunk. Welded in some patches, ground the weld and added seam sealer and POR15. Followed by a nice coat of trunk splatter paint.
As always...beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Not what I would do to a cool car, but if he's happy and not hurting anyone in the process, more power to him.
I took the trunk lid off my 64 Dodge and welded a few patches into the trunk floor. Now I get to crawl under the car and scrape 50 years of junk off the back half and get it all painted with POR15. That is one dirty job!! Put the mask and goggle on and get-r-done. No easy way to do it unless...
