It's wasn't about what a motorcycle engine wants, it's about the effect of paint on cooling fins. The radiator on You car uses the same principles and painting will not hurt it if done properly however powder coating will.
A motorcycle mag did a test on aluminum Harley Davidson heads. They are air cooled w fins. Raw aluminum, black paint and black powder coat. Black paint and raw aluminum were very close, within a couple degrees of each other in cooling ability but the black powder coat remained more than 10°...
I did the Mad Files ammeter bypass. Then ran my 130 amp alternator directly to my battery. Battery to starter relay and bulkhead. No alternator to bulkhead. This way any accessories only draw from battery and no chance over over amping any wires. I'm sure you could leave the ammeter in service...
Partially correct above, torque loss from duals has been proven often to be false. However, the flow of a single vs the flow of duals doesn't automatically mean better/more hp. Dual 2" has less volume than single 3". Pontiac had a true sleeper Firebird Formula in the 90's that had a single...
A single 2" or 2-1/2" would flow just as much as a dual on a 318. Would look stock, get rid of drone and if you want a little bass, a muffler will fix that.
I wrote tickets to people who pulled out in front of me for 20 yrs. They don't care and aren't educated. They "think" if you can slow down in time, then they are allowed to pull out. The "fact" is, if I have to alter my course in Any way, slow, change lane etc.... then they are failing to yield...
Have Fitech and used external pump. Where I live, 110-120 daily temps. External fuel pump would vapor lock while running after about 20 minutes. Went to Aeromotive fuel tank w baffled in tank pump. Have had no problems with fuel since. Was actually an easy instal, everything is pre assembled...
1st thing, measure your radiator. The core support will either take a 22" or a 26". You cannot put a 26" in a 22" slot. Measure the "core" part of your radiator left to right to determine which it is. Then you can decide where to go from there. US Radiator has a nice aluminum w stamped tanks...
