They have some 69 Coronets too so it might be worth a call to see if they have one ... Good Luck ...
One on eBay too ...
I know everyone will find this hard to believe but while cleaning/inspecting my floor pan I came across some additional rusty areas that I hadn't seen before. Looks like a complete pan is in my future. OH BOY!!!
Change of plans ... I am going to be using the patch panels I have to repair the front foot wells on the drivers and passenger sides. I've done a lot of reading and viewing of various videos so I feel comfortable tackling this.
Can I get by just cutting / replacing the rust areas (one side at a...
Mark ... thanks for the excellent info in this post.
I am needing to do a front pan replacement and perhaps the rear as well on my 64. I noticed that you really don't have the green car supported off the ground and the torsion bars are supporting the front end weight. I am afraid of the body...
I have several different sizes of spot weld cutter and I realize that getting the old pan out will be time consuming but certainly not impossible. I will be using a new 1 piece pan from AMD.
My real concern is about proper support to avoid the body sag mentioned above.
I have most of the tools however I have never attempted to do this before. Is replacing a floor pan something the average guy can do in his garage?
My plan is to use a complete pan from the firewall to rear foot well seams.
I am most concerned about how I support the body during the...
It won't be very long and my 64 Polara will be under the knife but I need to source some front floor pans first. I found a few in my internet searches but was hoping to get some opinions on your experience with various vendors and the quality of the pans.
Thanks ...
In order to get the "smooth as glass" paint job you want it should be taken all the way to metal and have any suspect areas properly fixed. Who knows what the previous body folks did as part of their repairs and the last thing you want is for their work to cause you problems in the future...
Perhaps this will help ...

The picture was supplied by moparmark for reference. The area is not real big but it needs to be fixed.
Hopefully once I get in there the problem is not too serious.
Thanks guys ... interesting to see it with the inners removed. If I draw a straight line between the 2 clean outs it coincides with the visible rust area.
I've decided to attempt to tackle the repair myself. I have a cut off wheel, grinder and a welder ... what's the point of having them if...
