If your third (non-factory) mounting point breaks loose you'll be bouncing all over the inside of the car in a violent collision. I thought about a 3 point setup in mine but finally decided that a 2 point would work just fine.
You'll need to add the mounting points. The hardware to do this is really easy to find ...

I've been looking at this as well. Years ago I installed a retractable 3 point system in a Datsun wagon and it worked great but it already had the shoulder belt mounting hole.
My biggest concern with my 64 hardtop has been the lack of a mounting hole. I know you can get the hardware to provide...
That really does look nice. I called the guy and talked to him about the process and he wasn't to thrilled about the ribs on the original bezels. He has never done one but is willing to do a sample for me. I think I'll take my radio delete plate to him and see how it comes out.
I have been kicking around the idea of of some custom dash work ... specifically a carbon fiber overlay on the original 64 Polara bezels.

Having tried to recover a bench seat myself once before I would take it to a professional. I fought with that thing for hours before I finally threw the hog ring pliers away. I could never get it to look right.
I've used the aerosol dye on vinyl with fantastic results. I got mine at the local auto parts store.
Never tried it on plastic parts tho ... try it on the backside of something to test it first.
I've done a few over the years and this is my favorite tool ... especially if you are going to tackle it alone.
Grab a couple boxes of different sizes at the local office supply store.
