There was enough to melt it. Did that and it worked great. Got the Gorilla glue as a stand by but did not use it. I have another that fell off but have to remove the board to get to it. I am going to do this to all of them in place as I do not trust the glue they used now.
Thank you for the...
What would be the best glue or epoxy to adhere this plastic bulb casing to the aluminum housing on a Rallye dash? This is on a 69 Bee.
The company that restored it evidently didn’t use what was needed to create a good bond, two of them have come loose.
TIA
I may do that, engine was rebuilt and running before I removed the dash and heat a/c box, so should be good. When I removed those, I discovered everything had to be rebuilt / restored, wiper pivots (and motor) pedal assembly, during which I discovered the clutch push rod / shaft was cracked...
69 Bee 4 speed with factory air
For those experienced in replacing the entire interior I am looking for advice based on your experience I now have my dash frame and other metal parts painted the correct Baltic Blue Suede (mixed by Instrument Specialties) and am getting ready to assemble on...
New repro bezels fit well. I still have the old which I will keep but just easier to by new at this point.
Regarding cluster Auto Instruments did mine, new faces all gauges working including tic toc tach
All good info per above. I've never found one that was repop for a bench seat (tracks either for that matter - everything available for buckets ). I found a decent used one, have the original but awfully rust and did not want to use it
1) Thank you. Needed to know that.
2). Yes it will get covered likely but being wider there I’m have trouble getting things to line up. I’ll give it another go before I do significant (unnecessary) surgery.
Thanks much!
Having some fitment issues on my dash frame. Has been out of the car a good while now, and I am putting back in to mock up everything prior to painting it (btw finally found the correct color with some texture, Instrument Specialties mixed me a quart - not cheap but confident it will be...
Ok all, thanks much for the advice. I will definitely change the color. Now, best method to strip the new (wrong color) paint and clear? The steering column parts will fit in the media blaster but the dash frame is another story. I have a very small portable blaster but this would take tons...
Thank you. I don't have a build sheet. B7 it is.
So I assume I can use the same paint as the exterior on the metal. Should it be flat, sprayed with clear like exterior ? etc etc
Yeah I just ordered that decal for the VIN. Thanks, definitely can't leave it like it is now. Should the steering column and metal ash tray be flat and dark blue like the dash?
For my 69 Dodge Super Bee........The guy who painted by car and did the body work (B7 - did a great job) volunteered to paint my dash frame, steering column, etc. He and the guy at the paint store decided the color should be B5. It looks good but the more I think about it and try to look at...
Now I am wondering, since my Bee does not have headrests, I am assuming it was built prior to Jan 1, 1969. Given that it appears at least plausible that the 1968 dash frame and switch were used as well but who knows? Doesn’t really matter as long as I can make it work.
