you could use panel bond / structural adhesive to do the repairs without welding........ it would spare your headliner
I mix it on cardboard like body filler........ the nozzels kinda suck......... water proof and corrosion resistant
you need the glass low enough in the door to install the fuzzies, I don't think you want to smash the bottom of the glass down into the opening with them installed....I'm not even sure it's possible
put the glass in the door, let it sit in the bottom....... install your rubber and fuzzies...... lift the window for regulator installation
I suppose you could do glass and reg first and lower the glass below the stops?
actually, that makes for bigger holes to weld than I prefer...... I cut the pan close to the flange so I can get the edge of a cutoff wheel in there to grind the welds away, then I can drill a series of much smaller holes for the plug welds ......1/4 inch works for me, as the welds tend to grow...
