    In my sportbiking days, bugs made a mess at 150 mph. We used hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle. I believe it dissolved the protein. A soft worn bristle toothbrush, and off you go. That was before all the bug specific stuff out there nowadays.

    Use some ammonia in the water to lubricate it. I always used a brillo pad. DO NOT use Scotchbrite.
