Shorty Headers vs. stock exhaust manifolds on '73 440

Basically every Dyno test ever has shown headers help both tq and hp

    73-74 HP manifolds on a '67 B-Body?

Fwiw I ran a later one like that in my 69 Coronet with a 383 and the muffler shop made pipes with no issue

    69 B body 3" exhaust?

In various shows they use a 600hp and 350hp mill to test this stuff

    69 B body 3" exhaust?

In newer seasons they are a lot more thorough and probably would have rejetted. And it would have shown the 2.5" didn't lose that much. They showed in that and a couple other videos that muffler choice hurts you more than 2.5/3

Using shorty headers for turbo on big block.

Supports off engine mounts are a good choice, something on the engine not the body. Not sure what someone would have done to melt a cast manifold other than run a hot diesel up a grade for an hour!

Using shorty headers for turbo on big block.

Headers can work but you definitely need to support the weight other than the headers. I used upside down rv manifolds on my fury. Front facing manifolds on a big block on the driver's side usually hits steering. The 62-65 manifolds are probably the best shot as their exits don't angle. You...
