I'm using a hydraulic roller cam in my 505 for the first time. So be nice. When putting in the roller lifters, does the lifter alignment bar go towards the cylinders, or towards the cam/center of the block?

I changed the oil in my car last week. I had the Motorcraft filter on it. I went with the Mobil oil filter. After sitting a while, when I would start the car, I would hear alot of valve train noise. It didn't do this...
When I did mine, I put the coupler on first, without the locking screw. Tapped it in place. Lube helps. Then I installed the column. Then locking screw with locktite.
To prove, or disprove the trunk seal theory, get some of the blue low adhesive tape, and tape off the seam, and test drive. No stink? There's your problem.
