Nice cars. After looking at 17 inch, and up rims on everything, I think 15 inch wheels look too small. My next wheel set will be 17, or 18. Keep posting.
I kept getting that GM power steering hiss, when turned fully left, or right. His pump puts out more pressure. It is a little noisy. You can hear a slight pump sound through the steering column. I wondered if I should try the stock pump with the larger hose, and fitting, I just haven't done it...
If there's one thing to add, it would be to use the larger pressure fitting for the box, with the corresponding hose. My hose was for a 69 Dart. I also ended up using Bergmans pump. Once these were done, the car steers well.
I bought everything from Bergmans. I had issues mostly due to the engine placement in my 64. Looking at later pics, that shouldn't be an issue. The pump was a Saginaw. Fit my brackets fine. Bolt on pulley was no issue. The box needed shims to alogn it properly. Just a couple washers on one...
I like it. How hard was the front suspension swap?
Why didn't you use a later Dodge frame?
Why didn't you use the motor mount pad on the CV cross member?
I'm not criticizing, I want to do something similar in the future.
I haven't, but you definitely need to reinforce the shock tower area. It doesn't have the strength to support the car. There are reinforcement kits available.
I changed all I could with poly bushings. Added a big front sway bar, and a rear sway bar, which made the most dramatic change. I used KYB shocks, but I think they're too harsh.
You're right. Get rid of any fiberglass. It will always separate from the metal. Looks like you are doing it right, Judging by the engine compartment. Keep us posted.
