Door mechanism white plastic striker guide and spring question? 69 Charger

Well they would be “new” - just that they’re on latches. Besides, I doubt those pieces were ever service parts !!

Door mechanism white plastic striker guide and spring question? 69 Charger

I have a couple of NOS latches you could probably take them off off. Other than being for Mopars there's no telling what the latches fit so I'd sell them for parts.

    Rebuild z-bar

Those plastic bushings have an extremely low coefficient of friction and will survive with minimal lubricant of any kind. If anything, you want to keep dirt out of there as that's what will cause the most wear - and that's why the rubber seals are on the ends !!

    fiberglass hood

Well **** !! I'll have to measure mine. Sure wish I'd known this a few months back. Its too late to change grill supports and we already drilled holes for hood pins (which I really didn't want to do), and I've drill out the glassed in nuts hoping I can put new ones in the correct spots...

    fiberglass hood

See this ... this is my VFN hood. See those holes for the hood latches ... they're all 3/4" of an inch off. You can't move them (without a LOT of trouble) because the nuts are 'glassed in from the back. When I contacted VFN their response was "you can adjust the grill support". NOT ON A MOPAR...

While on the dash topic ... What about installing the clips on the dash then screwing it in from below - to facilitate future removal without taking the windshield out (should the need arise) ?? From a manufacturing point screwing it in from the top before installing the glass was obviously...

    Phoenix Graphics application gel

People have been applying vinyl striping since the 60's ... how long has "gel" been around ?!? Many years ago I asked an aquaintence how he applied the vinyl - he did commercial vehicles, tractor trailers and the like. His reply ... DRY ... use a liquid if you want bubbles! FWIW, all these...

    69 Charger dash removal:

LOL .. you're gonna pull the windshield and end up doing a full blown resto - guaranteed !!! Just do the minimum to address the issue and get back to driving the car. Here's my suggestion. Disconnect the battery. Pull all the connectors off the bulkhead connector in the engine compartment...

    My restoration dilemma

Any restored vehicle will not be worth anywhere near its restored cost within a ten year timeframe. The only exception to this would be an EXTREMELY rare vehicle - but then you have to look at its value both before and after the resto. And chances are, from its original state it would not...

    My restoration dilemma

You better have deep pockets if you plan to have a shop do a full resto. I think you'd be in around 150k by the time you're done. Keep in mind the hourly rate for a slant 6 valiant is the same as a 1 of 1 hemi car !!
