I'd like a recommendation for a '69RR that's had the springs moved into the frame rails and using Caltracs. has a larger than stock front bar, stock t-bars.
So I just went though the rebuild process. The hardest part was getting the rivets out - took all of 5 minutes ... grind the backs off (not the heads) then knock 'em out. Tossed everything in the blast cabinet - careful around the contact mechanism - I kinda masked that area off. Blow the dust...
So Ken, since you're in God's country, those rivets are available from Spae-Naur in Kitchener, ON.. They have a website that you can browse all their hardware. If I think of it I'll grab the p/n's of the rivets I think most closely resemble the originals - I have a bunch out in the shop.
Not sure about the OP's bulbs but the one's I have are essentially the same bulb for high and low. HOWEVER, prior to shipping, Octane bend over the "high" tab on one pair. Also, I believe the low beam connector in the stock harness will only fit two tabs. Or vice versa.
Mods probably depend on the year of the vehicle. On my '69 I had to open up the holes in the headlight buckets by quite a bit. Noticed that on some other cars at Carlisle. But I have seen some with the holes big enough - just don't know year/make/model. Anyhow, it wasn't a big deal - a good pair...
Are those a true LED headlight? I bought some headlights from Octane a few years back - LED Halos. I was uinder the impression I was buying LED headlights with halos but they're actually halogen headlights with LED halos.
You guys are are ********. I'm sure he didn't build it with a single one of you in mind, he built what "he" likes. And I'm quite sure there are many out there who would find an endless list of flaws or dislikes with all your vehicles.
