Which website would I have a good chance of finding vintage photos of a specific race car from the New York region?

Try fb for car/racing groups that are situated geographically were The Bakers Special was known to race. Then try the specific tracks, looking for the professional track photographers who may have that car in their photo files. You may have to ask about certain time frames. Good suggestion from...

Can a Clutch Car be Competitive in Bracket?

As a friend of mine asked, at a drag strip event, years ago to a rather large fellow in one of them there automatic shifted hot rods as he prepped his 4-speed, Omaha Orange ‘69 Super Bee for a run….”Exactly what size dress do you wear?”.

Breaking News: Rocket Car Driver Threatens to Burn Down Tower at Great Lakes Dragaway

I had done a story on this Rettig Bros. combo ‘64 D-500 and ‘63 Belvedere a while back. It was at the Chicago World of Wheels. Here’s a few other shots including one from the movie “More American Graffiti” that the ‘63 was in!! The Omaha Orange paint, on both vehicles, is 41 years old.

Breaking News: Rocket Car Driver Threatens to Burn Down Tower at Great Lakes Dragaway

I’d put a like on your post but it would bring a tear to my eye. Sad. It’s like the Old, Old public service TV commercial with the proud looking Indian (Native American) with a tear in his sad looking eye while gazing at all the trash. Please keep your strength.
