I'd guess maybe for a power antenna switch? I know there was a relay to automatically raise and lower the antenna on the 1979's at least when the radio was turned on/off. Other models/radios may not of had that automatic feature. Got a pic of the back side where its cut out?
I'd gladly give 1K for it, even if it could just putt putt itself on and off a trailer. Problem is it would cost almost that again to ship it here. Plus being unable to do an in-person visual inspection might be problematic.
Thank you! I sometimes refer to it as the "retardmobile". Meaning I was retarded for buying off eBay without seeing it in person first. It's been 15 years and I don't wish to know the total I put into it moneywise thus far.
Exactly what I was thinking. Sort of like when the a/c in a car "just needs a re-charge", lol. Of course the seller may not be mechanically inclined, or simply doesn't have the funds to tinker it up. I myself would be inclined to buy it for the quarter panels, a few spare parts, and sell the rest.
I'm thinking that they will except that the crease on the lower part of the rear doors may not match up with the crease on the rear quarters of the 77. Looks close but you'd have to actually measure them or bolt them on and try.
This isn't fun, I've done this many, many times. On mine I wiggle my hand under and behind the dash. Find the side of the headlight switch with the release button and depress and hold. Remove the headlight knob and shaft by pulling straight out. If your headlights come on when the the knob is...
