The first "Hawk-Rod" resurrection, Roadkill style

Id say temporarily remove the gear vendors overdrive and put the original tail shaft housing and original driveshaft back in. That is of course if you still have those items.

Quote: "Sorry, not quite sure what you mean about doing an on-car wheel balancing? I did swap out all the wheels for a different set of wheels from my 70 Road Runner (that run fine on that car)." Here is a short vid on YouTube doing the rears on an earlier Vette:

Maybe do a on-car wheel balancing? Also are there polyurethane engine and trans mounts installed?

The first "Hawk-Rod" resurrection, Roadkill style

I have been watching HawkRod's project as the posts are updated. The issue that the car has vibration issues and has a Gear Vendors overdrive was what I took particular note of. Whether those two points are related remains to be seen. I've read everything I could find on the internet about...

I'd attach the black 15" x 7"'s with chrome lug nuts to give that "brass knuckle brawler" look like the factory A12 cars had.

I'd recommend modifying/using this voltmeter. I used the Sunpro version that had the needle swing the opposite way for my application. https://www.ebay.com/itm/SUNPRO-CP8215-VOLTMETER-GAUGE-2-MECHANICAL-12-VOLT-INTERNAL-LIGHTING/303717159213?epid=13017013683&hash=item46b6f4112d:g:MZoAAOSwqY5ffS7B

I've been running this exact 270/470 Comp cam in my low compression 400BB for 15 years now. It's in my 1975 Coronet 2 door. A heavy car I'm guessing to be at 4000 lbs plus in weight. I did go with a 2500 stall and 3.90 gears. Runs good for what it is. Does good burnouts from a slow roll. Has...
