    Take them off,take the reservoir cap off and keep it full,open the bleeder on one and tip it back and forth.Bubbles will come out,keep doing it till no bubbles.Tap on them too while doing it. Then install and do a normal bleed.

    Not sure his pistons have circlip groove's. Might be cheaper to work with a different set of used rods.

    Sounds like you may not have pressed them out straight and stretched the small end.They may be shot now.

    Looks fine to me. As long as the cherry picker rolls easily it ain't goin nowhere. Plus it's not very far off the ground.
