    That's not what he is saying, read it again. Compression test first,make sure valves aren't stuck etc. especially sitting for 5 years. Does it tick?

    Sounds like your engine builder doesn't know how to build a proper ignition system.Hook up a mity vac to it and check the vacuum open and closed.Make sure that canister will work for your application.

    Any old harnesses like that I always bend the wire in a tight loop in several suspect spots,if the shielding cracks,throw it away and get a new harness.

    Just remember if it is a stick car to put it in neutral first and block the wheels/set E brake or you could move it just by leaning over the front of the car......what? I don't know how big his belly is LOL!

    The connector is fine but the wire is very stiff and cracked.I hate splices so I may pull the terminals and solder in new wire.Thanks
