Not sure how close your GTX is to my 67 Coronet, but I have 15 X 8 wheels on the back with a 5 1/4" backspace ( had them made) that to do again I would use a 5 1/8" backspace..... 245 60 15 tires... rubs occasionally
I have 15 X 8's on my rear, with a 5 1/4" back space using 245 60 15 radial TA's on my 67 Coronet... If I was to do it again I would have them made with 5 1/8" back space.....
All of the weights are on the inside of the wheel, across from each other 180 degrees ( as in a circle)…. Test drove the car last night and it seems to be fine
I just had two new front tires mounted on my 15 X 7 American mags.. Both had comparable balancing weights 180 degrees ( straight across from each other) from each other.. Does that seem strange to anyone with more knowledge about this than I??

As probably most of us on here do, the problem is age rather than wear... These will go on the front of my 67, of which the tires on it have about 80% of wear left but are from 03..... So I start out with tires already 1 1/2 years old...
